Rosedale sponsors Community Pride Award

Breckland Business Awards

Community Pride Award

We are delighted to be able to announce that we are sponsoring our first ever business award: the Community Pride Award in the inaugural Breckland Business Awards.

Breckland Council has launched these awards to help recognise the outstanding businesses that help drive the district’s economy while creating exciting opportunities for the next generation.

Why did we choose to sponsor this award?

This award was chosen as it resonated with Rosedale’s values and will be a celebration of the following:

  • Celebrates individuals or organisations that have gone above and beyond to enhance community spirit, local identity, and pride across Breckland.
  • Exceptional community contribution: consistent, meaningful actions that strengthen community spirit and bring people together.
  • Enhancement of local identity: initiatives that celebrate Breckland’s heritage, culture, or sense of place.
  • Positive, measurable community impact: clear outcomes such as increased participation, improved wellbeing, or stronger neighbourhood connections.
  • Long‑term commitment to community pride: sustained dedication that continues to benefit residents, not just one‑off actions.

We have a long a long history of being involved in the community where our branches are situated. From bereavement support groups which are free to attend, to fundraising each year, to being involved in local carnivals and organising Walks and Services of Remembrance that are completely free to attend and open to everyone.

How do I nominate a winner?

You can vote for your winner through Breckland Council’s website

The ceremony is taking place on 10th September 2026 at Reymerston Hall.

Anna Gould, funeral arranger at our Attleborough branch of Rosedale

I think it’s really great that we are sponsoring this award especially as it’s Attleborough’s 20th anniversary. Although my main role at Rosedale is to help people arrange funerals, I also really enjoy giving back in the community as well. I’ve attended several local carnivals, sold poppies for the British Legion, and took part in ‘Woof Fest’ to name a few.
“Anna took care of us beautifully and guided us through what could be a difficult time, with care, compassion and utmost professionalism, letting us know what our options were, helping us with selecting the right choices and keeping us updated at every stage. Mum’s funeral went off extremely well and was exactly what she would have wanted. I can’t praise Anna and the team highly enough, and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them to anyone needing their services.” Funeral Guide review
