Supporting our communities

Funeral Directors hold a vital role in the community, serving with empathy and professionalism and offering a sense of stability and continuity.  We are passionate about demonstrating our commitment to the communities that we serve in appropriate and respectful ways.  Supporting community events helps us to better understand and address the unique needs and values of the people we serve.  It can help to normalise conversations about death and dying and break down taboos, and additionally, provides an opportunity for the community to see our Funeral Directors as being approachable, compassionate individuals who truly care.

Rosedale is a drop off point for a number of organisations, receiving items as diverse as glasses and hearing aids to foreign currency for Guide Dogs and taking part in Link to Hope’s Christmas Shoebox Appeal.  We regularly give talks to community groups such as the Women’s Institute, Rotary International or U3A and we also sometimes lend out items for community events such as our gazebo or PA system and we have also helped with printing posters, programmes or tickets or providing a raffle prize.
We are passionate about schools engagement, whether that is giving a careers talk, providing an opportunity for work experience, sponsoring an end of year award or providing resources for bereaved children.
