Supporting Our Local Heroes: A Fundraising Round-Up

As we’re nearly halfway through 2025 already, we’re proud to share an update on our fundraising efforts for our Charity of the Year – the Royal British Legion, with the focus very much on supporting our local branches.

In Wymondham, led by our very own Tony, an armed forces veteran, six of our team took part in The Great Tommy Sleep Out on Middleton Street. Spending the night on the pavement helped us raise both awareness of the mental health challenges veterans face and an incredible £1,400. Thank you to everyone who stopped for a chat and showed their support. The people of Wymondham were really kind, and someone even brought us a coffee at 6am!

In Beccles, our team were in their element at the Beccles Food and Drink Festival, which is a firm favourite in our calendar.  Alison, Fiona and Karen organised a plant stall with help from our many green-fingered colleagues and raised £200.

Meanwhile, at Diss Carnival, our pre-loved teddy tombola raised a further £300.

We’re now turning our attention to the Attleborough Carnival, where we’re supporting the Attleborough branch of the Royal British Legion in their World Record Attempt for the largest wreath made of handprints. We’ve got a few more fun family activities planned too – so do come and find us there.

We’re incredibly proud of what we have achieved and grateful for the support we’ve received so far. If you’d like to contribute, donations can be made online via our JustGiving page, or, if you prefer a more traditional approach, you’ll find a collection tin at each of our funeral homes.

Also save the dates – 25th October for our next event, fun family bingo in Bungay and 14th December for our concert and remembrance event with Leiston Brass Band.  Everyone is welcome.
