Grief is a normal response to loss. It can be painful, time consuming and exhausting and people react to it in different ways.  Shock, anger, disbelief, guilt, regret, numbness and loneliness are just some emotions that most people feel.

Please browse the sections below to find out about our regular bereavement support groups and what we can offer as part of our aftercare including our annual Walks and Services of Remembrance.

Bereavement Support Groups

“I made the best decision of my life to continue the group until the end…they gave me hope where I thought there was none…I was in a deep pit with no way out that I could find…this group became my lifeline… I have made some wonderful lifelong friends at the group.” from a member of our group.

Running in our communities at regular intervals throughout the year, our bereavement support groups are open to all, regardless of how long ago the bereavement, or which funeral director was used.

Helping someone who is bereaved

Although it is hard, it is almost always better to talk to the person who has been bereaved, than say nothing at all.
