We have always been transparent about funeral costs, long before it became a legal requirement.

“Clear and transparent — you’ll know exactly what you are paying for. If money is a concern, please don’t be afraid to make that clear — they really want to help you and low-cost options are available as well as simple touches that are available for any size of budget. Trained staff will help any families with applications for Social Fund.”

As long term signatories of the Fair Funeral Pledge, we have long since believed it is our responsibility to advocate information and price transparency as funerals can be both confusing and expensive. Rest assured, that whatever your budget, we will be able to support you in creating a funeral that is personal and meaningful.

You may want to phone around a number of funeral directors to seek alternative quotations for the funeral.  Please be assured that this is quite acceptable and don’t feel embarrassed to call us, email or pop in to talk about options and discuss funeral costs. We would be pleased to have a conversation with you about your requirements and can post or email information through to you to give you the opportunity to check and compare prices without the need to commit emotionally or financially.

Do check that your chosen funeral director is a member of a professional Trade Association such as the National Association of Funeral Directors and has a License to Practice- many don’t. We invest in our staff training, facilities and standards and pride ourselves on being able to offer an exceptional service at an affordable cost.

Funeral options and costs

Traditional funeral costs

This is a fully personalised funeral service with no limit to the options available to you. It can be as simple or as elaborate as you require.

Standardised funeral costs

This is our most cost effective, attended funeral and may suit people who would like a very simple funeral or where cost is an important factor.

Unattended funeral costs

Sometimes called a direct cremation or burial, an unattended funeral is where the person who has died is simply cremated or buried with no fuss, no ceremony, no service and no attendance.
