Service of Remembrance – Diss – 2026

Event details

At Rosedale Funeral Home, our annual Services of Remembrance are very special occasions within our community calendar. They offer a time for reflection and comfort at what can be a difficult time of year. At our Diss service, you can be assured of a warm welcome, and if you have any concerns at all, please contact Richard, Christian, Charmaine or Kerry at our Diss branch on 01379 640810 who will be happy to answer any questions you might have to ensure you feel comfortable and included.

When is it taking place?

This year, our Diss Service of Remembrance will take place on Sunday 6th December at 2.30pm at St Mary’s Church, Diss (IP22 4QQ). It is open to everyone, no matter how long ago the bereavement or which funeral director was used.

Where is it going to be held?

We are lucky to have had the support of St. Mary’s Church once again for our annual service. A large church in the centre of town, it is an ideal location and ensures that everybody will be able to be seated comfortably.

A warm welcome

You can be sure of a warm welcome when you arrive as you will be greeted by a member of the Rosedale team. We will show you where you can write a memory tag to hang on the large Christmas Tree. We will also give you a candle that you will be able to light during the service.
Following the service you are more than welcome to join us for light refreshments in the church rooms.

Waveney Choir

We are really fortunate to once again be joined by the wonderful Waveney Choir, led by their talented conductor Sarah-Jane Bullock and accompanied by Shona Huckfield. Their music brings a beautiful sense of warmth and calm to the service, and has been really well received over the past few years that they have attended.

The service is a chance to gather together to remember loved ones amongst people that care.

“The Service of Remembrance is so special. It’s a chance for people to come together in a welcoming environment to remember their loved ones”

Christian, one of the Funeral Directors at the Diss branch of Rosedale
